Save your work
With the JSTOR Workspace, you can save your citations so that next time you log in, you can pick up where you left off.
To save your work:
- Create a JSTOR account
- Search for content, and click Save
- Once you click Save, that item is in your Workspace
- Visit your Workspace to move your citations to folders and add notes

Connect to your institution
With a personal account you can....
- Access your institution's content even when you're off campus
- Ensure that you're finding and saving material that your institution provides access to
- Quickly sign in to JSTOR directly from the JSTOR site no matter where you're doing your research
To link your personal account to your institution's account:
- Make sure you log in to your school's account! You can log in automatically on campus or connect to your institution via Proxy, Shibboleth, or VPN. (Not sure if you're logged in? Check: How to tell if you're logged in to JSTOR)
- Create a personal account or sign in to your existing personal account.
- That's it! Your personal account is now linked to JSTOR.
- Next time you want to sign in through your school, you can sign in through your personal account to get access to your school's subscription.
- To renew your access period, repeat the process above.
Linking your account to your institution usually lasts 90 days, but for the duration of the COVID-19 crisis, JSTOR is extending this feature until June 30, 2020.

Don't have access to JSTOR through an institution? You still can have access to a large portion of the JSTOR archive with a free personal account.
During the COVID-19 crisis, we are expanding the number of monthly reads available for free accounts from 6 to 100.
To read articles online for free, all you need to do is:
- Create a JSTOR account and log in
- Search for your materials
- Click "read online"
- "Turn the page" by clicking the arrows to the right of the content preview

Share your lists
When you have a personal account, you can share a list of your saved citations with your fellow researchers.
To share content in your Workspace:
- Log in to your account
- Click on folders or items in your Workspace that you would like to share.
- Click the "Share" button toward the top-right of the Workspace.
- A new window will pop open where you can add email addresses (limit 10) that you would like to share content with. You can include a short message about the content as well.
- You will need to check the box agreeing to our Privacy Policy before you hit the send button.
- Click the "Send" button to send links to content.
