Updating your email and password:
Forgot your password? Use this reset link to set up a new one.
On the Password reset page, you will be prompted to enter your personal JSTOR account email address to begin the reset process. This field is required.
The link to reset your password will be emailed to you and must be used within 48 hours. If you attempt to use the reset link after the 48-hour time period, it will no longer work.
If you are already logged in, you also have the option to use the drop-down menu found under your personal account name, you can also make administrative updates to your personal JSTOR account in Profile including:
- email preferences
- password updates
- view account integrations (if any)
- optional information about your account you wish to add (such as institution, role, etc.)
Select “Profile” from the drop-down menu under your account name.
In the Profile menu, update your information. Note the fields noted with "*" are required to submit the update.
New created passwords must include the following:
- one upper or lowercase character
- one number or special character
- be a minimum of 6 total characters
- and exclude any white space(s)
Changing your JSTOR username:
Once you create an account, the username cannot be updated through self-service. Your username will default to the email address used on the account.
