Benefits of Books at JSTOR reports
Books at JSTOR reports offer details about the status of your ebook acquisition models. If you're not a Books at JSTOR participant, you can still see usage of Open Access ebook titles on JSTOR by running the Open Access Books (OAB) usage report for your institution.
- You can schedule reports yourself
- You can choose to request a one-time report or a scheduled report
- You can customize your report to be cumulative or to only contain data from a certain time period
- PDF and download columns have been combined into one "item request" metric
- DDA Consortium usage now shows in Institutional DDA Details report

- Not an admin yet? See Accessing JSTOR Admin to get started.
- Open the "Reports" drop-down menu in the JSTOR Admin sidebar and select "Books at JSTOR".
- Select the "Create Reports" button and select "One-time" under "Type".
- Configure your report options including:

- Report name
- Email address to notify when the report is ready
- Once you've made your selections, select the "Continue" button.
- Confirm your report configuration and submit your request by selecting the "Submit" button or select "Back" to make additional changes.
If there are no errors, you'll receive a success message noting that you'll be emailed when the report is available for download in the Reports area of JSTOR Admin.

Do I need to reschedule my book reports?
Yes. If previous to Feb 2020, JSTOR scheduled a books report for you, you will need to reschedule it. To do so, see: Scheduled reports.
Are Books at JSTOR reports COUNTER compliant?
While Books at JSTOR reports generated from the same reporting system as our COUNTER 5 reports, they are not COUNTER compliant because the report types JSTOR offers are not mandated by the COUNTER code of practice.
Learn more about COUNTER compliant reporting options for books and how to interpret Key COUNTER Terms and Metrics.
Why don't my Books at JSTOR reports match my COUNTER reports?
Books at JSTOR reports are not COUNTER compliant, and therefore count things a bit differently to better align with the structures of our books acquisition models. Books at JSTOR reports exclude usage for items in books: table of contents, frontmatter, backmatter, etc., so usage in these reports will be lower than your COUNTER reports.
