How to clear you cookies and cache by browser:
The first thing you’ll need to do to clear your cookies and cache is determine what browser you’re using. Use the links below for both PC and Mac users for the most recent versions of the following browsers:
Why Clear Cookies and Cache?
Whether you’re having login trouble, issues with your MyJSTOR Lists, or any number of unusual errors, a quick emptying of the cookies and cache is the first solution we try as a support team.
So why are you asking me to do it? In order to speed up your internet experience, browsers will "remember" old versions of websites so that they load more quickly. Usually, this is not a problem, but when websites update, remembering that old version can sometimes cause a problem. Clearing cookies and cache tells the browser to start over fresh.
If you do clear your cache and cookies but are still experiencing a problem, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll get to the bottom of it.
Which browsers work with JSTOR?
We support the most up-to-date versions of the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer
You can check with each respective website to find out what the most recent version is, and how to find which version you are running (generally, you can go to a settings tab within your browser and click "about" or "version").
While it may be possible to browse JSTOR with unsupported browsers, we are not able to offer technical support for them and will recommend that you use one of the supported browsers listed above.
