Workshop Goals
JSTOR's goals for the workshops will be:
- To celebrate the grant provided by the Ford Foundation
that has made access to the JSTOR Archive possible
- To introduce and convey JSTOR's mission and history
to all grantees
- To demonstrate the value and benefits of participation
in the JSTOR Archive
- To build a foundation for a strong JSTOR user community
in the region
- To create an opportunity for the grantees to become
acquainted with JSTOR's Library Relations, User Services staff, representatives
of the Ford Foundation and the other grant recipients
- To teach the grantees how to most effectively use the
JSTOR Archive
- To provide examples of how to promote the value of
the archive to their students, faculty members and researchers
